2.5.9 was a "stable" version released on 10th May 1994, as part of Charles Swiger's quickfire 2.5 series of releases.

Changelist 

   Cammithim now has free action to avoid mana penalty [jk]
   Added a case insensitive string comp for deficient systems [hmj]
   Fixed another light bug [dbd]
   Added new method for finding the library files [cjh]
   Other minor artifact name fixing [jk]
   Fixed a bug in prtstat [ColinSpry@equinox.gen.nz]
   Fixed typing problems with integer size for artifacts [cs]
   Maybe fixed invisible monster bug [cs]
